Fishing Friends
Georgia is a fisherman-friendly state, but there are a few guidelines that every sportsman is asked to follow. If you need to get acquainted with them, visit the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) page. Next, make sure to buy a fishing license. Resident Fishing Licenses are $15 for adults, $10 for children, and $4 for Seniors. If you need to get a license click "Buy a License" on this page and follow the instructions.
We are also lucky in that the DNR's Wildlife Resources Division has the Go Fish Georgia Initiative! The Go Fish Education Center is centrally located in Perry, Georgia and, "the Center’s facilities, programs and outreach directly support the Initiative’s mission to promote and enhance boating and fishing tourism in Georgia and to boost economic development in communities across the state."
